A New Standard for Old School Tone.
Through years of obsessive design and meticulous real-world testing, we've dialed in Flyers with everything players love about flatwounds—their smooth feel and warm, round tone—while adding something that they're often lacking: clarity, balance, and real versatility. Jazz, rock, indie, clean, driven, traditional, or totally out there – with Flyers' full, articulate voice, it's all fair game.
They feel fast under your fingers, sit perfectly in a mix, and respond evenly from string to string. Available in four sets featuring our tried and true approach to balanced tension, you'll find Flyers in gauges that'll be familiar to guitarists of all stripes, including a purist-preferred 12-52 and a shredder-friendly 9-42.
What makes Flyers Soar:
- Flatwound Feel, Modern Clarity – Silky-smooth flatwound feel with enhanced clarity and note definition
- Classic Tone, Surprising Versatility – Warm, rounded tone that stays articulate across genres
- The Stringjoy Approach - Built from years of focused R&D to expand what flatwounds can do
- Built for All Players – Balanced tension in gauges familiar to electric guitarists of all styles
- Crafted in Nashville – Every Flyers string is wound, inspected, and packaged by guitar-loving string techs dedicated to making the finest strings possible.
