Strandberg - Boden Standard N2.7 7-String Electric Guitar - Transform Teal Metallic #BD7HCT-25S2-G1-TTLM

When Strandberg’s Boden debuted, few could have predicted the headless guitar’s seismic impact on the guitar community. Now, the impressive legacy continues with the Strandberg Boden Standard N2.7, a multi-scale 7-string powerhouse that elevates every defining feature of the Boden Standard series. Premium tonewoods, including basswood, walnut, and roasted maple, pair with the new EGS Arc hardware, while the groundbreaking EndurNeck profile delivers unmatched multi-scale comfort. Titanium reinforcements in the walnut and roasted maple neck make the N2.7 Strandberg’s most dimensionally stable design yet. Our professoriate of prog metal is particularly enamored by the addition of dual Seymour Duncan humbuckers, with the time-honored twinning of Sentient and Pegasus pickups. With its retooled body contouring and signature headless design, the Boden Standard N2.7 captures the visionary spirit that has made this line a mainstay of modern guitar mastery.

Sentient and Pegasus: scorching Seymour Duncan sonics

Among the many subtle-to-striking enhancements in the Boden Standard line, the N2.7’s circuitry suite stands out as one of the most transformative. For this iteration of the Boden Standard, Strandberg outfitted the N2.7 with a prismatic pair of prog-metal powerhouse pickups: Seymour Duncan Sentient and Pegasus humbuckers. The neck-mounted Sentient’s Alnico V bar magnet supports a diverse aural aperture, distinctly marrying vintage-style output and fluid voicing with a rich dynamic response and polychromic harmonic range, making it an exceptionally articulate choice for myriad tuning and gain configurations. At the bridge, the Pegasus conjures all manners of prog-style sorcery, custom-wound with an Alnico V bar magnet, with a high resonant peak, punchy mids, and precise lows, resulting in blooming harmonics and smoldering presence, while shimmering top-end tones yield immense depth and dimension, especially when you crank the gain.

Uncompromising quality, from sound to stability

From its core unplugged output to rigs of the utmost processing power, the aural identity of the Strandberg Boden Standard N2.7 pulls no punches, owing to the premier tonewoods selected by the company’s luthiers. The axe starts with a basswood body, anchoring your sound to a resonant, balanced foundation that perfectly platforms the performance power to follow. A walnut-infused, roasted maple neck is outfitted with titanium reinforcement rods, enhancing stability to the utmost extent while augmenting your sonic aperture with shimmering brightness and smoldering spectrum-spanning warmth that won’t cave to changes in climate that plague every road warrior’s touring experience. Rounding out these top-tier tonewoods is a smooth-as-glass, matching roasted-maple fingerboard, teeming with natural note-separating voicing and guaranteed to send your fretting hand from head(less) to heel in no time.

Masterfully balanced headless design

Like its predecessor, the Boden Standard N2.7's headless design removes mass from the headstock for lower weight and improved balance, allowing you to play marathon sets in total comfort. On the other end, the N2 line marks the debut of Strandberg's sustain-inducing and resonance-enhancing EGS Arc Hardtail bridge and String Lock, crafted explicitly to amplify the performance of multi-scale instruments, leveraging ultra-precise engineering for maximum full-body contact with the hardware. Also new to the N2 line, revamped body contouring includes a carefully curved top and elegant finesse-filled lines of the body’s rear side, expanding comfort and control with equal aplomb.

EndurNeck: designed for maximum comfort and performance

At first glance, Strandberg's acclaimed EndurNeck profile is sure to draw a few questions with its unique shape. Here, guitarists will all tell you the same thing: the EndurNeck feels even better than it looks. The titanium-reinforced neck sports a rear-shafted trapezoid shape, possessing incredible comfort and noticeable stability. Almost magically, you will feel your grip significantly relax when playing an EndurNeck, leading to longer playing times and fewer injuries. The Boden Standard N2.7's bolt-on construction, paired with a deep double-cut design, offers easy access to the upper register for increased playability and a more focused punch — a welcome feature uncommon for many other bolt-on guitars.

Roasted multi-scale musicality

The fingerboard of a Strandberg is instantly recognizable for its multi-scale configuration that assigns each string a unique scale length. This design allows low strings to intonate better at high tension and makes bending high strings a breeze. The Boden Standard N2.7's EndurNeck is capped by a 20-inch-radius roasted maple fingerboard with a 25.5–26.25-inch scale length. Not to mention, its 24 frets are made from stainless steel — a player-favorite fret material for its incredible resistance to wear over time.
