The Nantel Verdict
The Nantel Verdict
28.6-inch baritone scale yields sub-bass frequencies and altered tuning flexibility; semi-hollow Jet body design balances tonal warmth with solid body control; Gretsch FilterTron pickups deliver articulate highs despite lower tunings; Imperial Stain finish emphasizes understated aesthetic.
Requires baritone-specific strings and potentially lower action setup. Compatible with standard guitar cables and pedals. Heavier than standard Jazzmaster-style guitars. Ideal complement to a pedalboard rather than standalone. Consider a wider strap for comfort.
A legitimate baritone instrument at mid-range pricing that doesn't compromise Gretsch's tonal signature. The Jet delivers genuine sub-sonic character for players seeking alternative tunings and atmospheric texture without boutique expense.

A smooth rounded heel allows for unimpeded access to the highest frets, while subtle comfort contours on the body create a balanced ergonomic fit for effortless playability and enhanced comfort.
MAPLE NECK WITH PERFORMANCE “C” NECK PROFILE
We’ve crafted a balanced, rounded "C" profile with tapered shoulders that is comfortable for all players with just enough mass to ensure precise playability in all positions. Maple construction ensures optimal stiffness and the stability to withstand extra string tension.
BOUND ROSEWOOD FINGERBOARD
When it comes to tone and playability, there’s almost nothing more important than an instrument’s fingerboard. The Electromatic Baritone Jet feature a genuine rosewood fingerboard with 1-ply aged white binding that generates both smooth, silky feel and warm, woody tone.
GRAPHTECH NUBONE NUT FOR SUPERIOR TUNING STABILITY
A GraphTech NuBone nut delivers consistent and balanced tone, enhanced resonance and sustain, and superior playability. Optimized break angle and string-pull to the tuning keys solves the problem of strings sticking or slipping. These features create rock-solid stable tuning that will power your longest and most aggressive performances without missing a beat.
PUREVOLT™ TWIN SIX™ HUMBUCKERS
PureVolt™ Twin Six™ humbuckers are beautifully dynamic, exceptionally expressive and addictively powerful. Each pickup features twelve adjustable pole pieces for precise attack and unrestrained flexibility. In the neck position Alnico IV magnets are paired with plain enamel wire, while in the bridge Alnico V magnets pair with plain enamel coated wire. Specially calibrated coil winds create incredible balance and raw humbucker power with amazing clarity and versatility, while vacuum wax-potting keeps noise and interference to a minimum.
ADVANCED ELECTRONICS
The Electromatic Baritone Jet is equipped with a control circuit designed to give you complete tonal control. A master volume with treble bleed circuit provides precise adjustment while maintaining clarity at any volume. Individual pickup tone controls provide intuitive control, calibrated for stellar tone at every setting. Push/Pull tone controls unlock snappy and glassy true single-coil timbres for each pickup, and better yet each single coil combines for a hum-cancelling pair in the middle position.
