The Nantel Verdict
The Nantel Verdict
Infrared proximity sensor detects performer presence within 24" range; phantom-powered operation requires no external batteries; mutes microphone signal path automatically, eliminating feedback and stage bleed without requiring channel-level gain adjustment; two units per pack enable stereo setups.
Requires phantom power from mixer or audio interface; XLR-compatible; installation between microphone cable and input straightforward; sensitivity adjustment may require minor testing during soundcheck; ideal paired with condenser mics on stationary stands.
Eliminates the cognitive load of manual muting during live performance. The infrared approach proves more reliable than voice-activation alone, making it essential for theater productions and multi-speaker events where ambient control matters as much as performer focus.
