The D108 is a purpose-built dynamic microphone engineered for optimal performance with bass drums and other low-frequency instruments. Its custom-tailored frequency response emphasizes deep, punchy lows while maintaining clarity and definition, making it ideal for capturing the full impact of bass-heavy sources. Designed with a specialized magnetic structure and an advanced internal vibration isolation system, the D108 minimizes mechanical noise and handling interference, ensuring clean, focused audio even in high-energy performance environments. Its ability to handle extremely high sound pressure levels (>174 dB) allows it to deliver a wide, linear dynamic range with minimal distortion, preserving the natural character of the instrument. The microphone’s high gain-before-feedback and supercardioid pickup pattern make it well-suited for both live sound reinforcement and studio recording, offering excellent isolation from surrounding instruments.
- Tailored lo-frequency response for rich, defined bass
- High SPL handling for distortion-free performance
- Internal vibration protection system for reduced handling noise
